To guarantee their purity and safety, the coating of OM3 capsules is entirely of fish gelatin.

As each OM3 capsule already contains vitamin E, do I risk an overdose if I take additional vitamin E ?
The vitamin E in OM3 capsules is there to prevent the product oxidising during its shelf life. It is too low (around 1.5mg per capsule, or about 2.2IU) for there to be a risk of vitamin E overdose. The maximum daily dose of vitamin E should not exceed 500mg (or 800 IU). Above this dose, there may be a risk of bleeding, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fatigue, increase in blood pressure, and lowered resistance to infections. If you experience one of these symptoms, think about how much vitamin E there might be in any additional vitamin supplements you take, and talk to your doctor about it.

Does taking OM3emotion increase weight?
Each OM3emotion capsule contains 5.2 calories. Three OM3emotion capsules therefore correspond to 15 calories, i.e. the equivalent of less than half an apple (between ¼ and ½). Several studies in rats suggest that omega-3 reduce the formation and size of fat cells (adipocytes"). This may explain the fact that they do not seem to grow fatter

Can you take OM3 at the same time as a homeopathic treatment ? what about St John's wort ?
There is not to my knowledge any contra-indication if OM3 is combined with a course of homeopathic treatment or treatment with St John's wort. On the contrary, the two forms of treatment should assist each other.

Can OM3emotion be taken by persons with hypotension and concomitantly with a hypotensive treatment?
Effects of omega-3 on blood pressure were noted at high doses, (more than 3 grams of omega-3 (EPA+DHA) per day {Morris et al. 1993}). Thus, administration of OM3emotion at recommended doses has little effect on blood pressure. However, for those who take antidepressants, it is important to record changes in blood pressure after institution of daily treatment with OM3emotion. Administration of OM3emotion with anti-hypertensive drugs should be discussed with your primary care doctor.

Can one take OM3emotion at the same time as a homeopathic remedy or St.-John's-Wort?
There is, to our knowledge, no contraindication for the combination of OM3emotion with a homeopathic remedy or St.-John's-Wort. On the contrary, there may be potentiation between these two forms of treatment.

Can you take OM3 if you have low blood pressure, and if you're undergoing treatment for it ?
Omega-3 acids have been observed to affect blood pressure at high doses (over 3 grams of omega-3 acids (EPA+DHA) per day {Morris et al. 1993}). Taking OM3 at the recommended does should thus affect blood pressure very little. However, people taking antidepressants should certainly note changes in their blood pressure when they introduce OM3 into their daily diet. You should discuss taking OM3 with medication for low blood pressure with the doctor treating you.

When should CARDIOM3 be recommended rather than OM3?
For patients with cardiovascular problems, it is strongly recommended to take CARDIOM3, particularly in the first 3 months of the course, since omega-3s provide protection against malign ventricular arrhythmia and sudden death syndrome. Furthermore, and only if the signs of depression persist, you may alternate OM3 or CARDIOM3 supplements (3 months of each alternately). For individuals whose predominant symptoms are mood problems, increased aggression or irritability, on the other hand, taking OM3 is recommended. OM3 is highly rich in EPA, whereas CARDIOM3 is particularly rich in DHA.
